Liz Lovely Bakery`s #1 request for the last couple years has been for gluten free cookies. After much effort, they have finally been able to recreate the experience of Liz Lovely cookies for a gluten free audience. They take their commitment to your health and well-being very seriously. The cookies are lab tested and each flavors received a separate "Certificate of Analysis" that they contain less than 20 ppm (parts per million) of gluten. That`s the standard recognized by the international food regulatory community. Lab tests will be conducted semi-annually.
The Gluten-Free cookies are made in the same bakery, but never on the same day as the other cookies. The bakery and equipment are cleaned and washed after every production run.
Liz Lovely`s Gluten Free cookies contain certified organic white rice flour, tapioca starch, potato starch, and a teensy bit of xanthan gum in place of their typical flours. The vanilla extract contains a corn-based alcohol, and is free of gluten. The chocolate is produced in a facility that is free from wheat products and gluten. All ingredients are purchased from responsible sources. In this case, the company is diligent to be sure that ingredients are not pre-contaminated with gluten. While the suppliers change from time-to-time, the standards do not. Liz Lovely is committed to finding the most ethical, transparent, and reputable ingredients suppliers possible.
